Our face frames are constructed of ¾” select hardwood with glue and self-boring pocket screws for strength and squareness. We do not use nails to secure the face frames to your cabinet. They are secured with glue and full dado construction. This construction process leaves NO nail holes to putty on your face frames.
To provide the maximum usable interior space, we build the longest run of cabinets possible. Our standard depth for upper (kitchen) cabinets is 13”-14”. That is up to 2” deeper than the industry standard, providing even more usable storage space.
Cabinet sides, tops, and bottoms are constructed of ½” prefinished hard maple veneer plywood. We do not use particle board or medium density fiber board (MDF) in our cabinets. All finished ends are constructed as a fine piece of furniture with a raised or flat panel built into the finished end. A true sign of our craftsmanship is a miter fold that joins the face frame and the finished end panel.
Our drawer boxes are made from ¾” solid hard maple with dovetail joints displaying superior craftsmanship. Drawer bottoms are ¼” solid hard maple plywood, captured on all four sides.
Our standard drawer slides are Blum Tandem Undermounts with soft close. These slides are smooth, quiet and offer full extension, which provides full access to the entire drawer depth. We offer alternative slide options, when certain applications dictate.
Blum concealed hinges are our preferred hinges. The Blum Clip-Top and Compact self-closing hinges are chosen depending on the application. Both of these hinges offer superior strength and adjustability, and leave your custom cabinets with clean lines.
